The sun passes over the temple of Ramses II

The rays of the sun crossed, at dawn on Thursday, for a period of up to twenty minutes in the room known as the "Holy of Holies" in the temple of Pharaoh Ramses II, which attracted the admiration and turnout of tourists and Egyptian visitors.

And this astronomical phenomenon is recorded twice a year, the first being on October 22nd, marking the start of the flood and farming season for the ancient Egyptians, and the second on the 20th of February, coinciding with the start of the harvest season.

Foreign tourists and Egyptian visitors flocked to the temple to enjoy witnessing this unique phenomenon, despite the early time of its occurrence.

The sun's rays crept inside the temple, reaching the "Holy of Holies" room, about sixty meters from the entrance.
The sun shone with its light on the platform that houses the statue of Ramses II, next to the statues of the gods Ra, my sister Horus, Amun, and Ptah.
The sun's rays are not perpendicular to the face of the statue of "Ptah", which was considered by the ancient Egyptians to be the god of darkness in the Pharaonic civilization
